So you’ve just bought your very first DSLR camera and have no idea where to start? Let me help you! I’ve been shooting for over 20 years and I remember all too well how confusing it is when you start out. White balance, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, aperture priority, shutter priority…the list goes on!
Let me make it simple for you. I offer a one-on-one beginners lesson in how to use your DSLR camera in the comfort of my studio. In 4 hours you will learn how to get out of ‘Auto’ mode and learn the importance of:
- knowing what your aperture is and how it works
- knowing your shutter speed and how to use it for a variety of subjects
- what your white balance does
- learn to work with available light
- learn the settings on your camera
- learn how to shoot in manual
By the end of my 4 hour lesson you will know how to go from a ‘snapshot’ to a great photo!
These sessions are available to anyone who is interested in learning photography and has their own DSLR. Group sessions are available (group discounts apply to 4 or more bookings).
ALL sessions are by appointment so times are flexible to suit your busy lifestyle.
A 4 hour weekday/evening session is $350 with lunch and refreshments included.

You’ve got the camera, now let’s learn how to use it!
