Bundaleer Gardens Wedding
Megan & Brady celebrated their marriage with a fabulous Bundaleer Gardens wedding! It’s one of my all-time favourite locations because it has everything you need. Gorgeous rainforest grounds, a creek, reception venue and the staff really know how to look after you!
You guys were awesome! I knew from the outset that while you’re both mad-keen footy fans, you weren’t fans of being photographed. Not that you can tell. You guys were totally awesome & I hope you had as much fun being photographed as I did photographing you.
I thank you both for trusting me with your special day. It means a lot.
Congratulations & wishing lots of love, happiness & plenty more laughs in the future.
Love Al xx

Now…here’s a little bit of Megan & Brady’s love story 🙂
How did you meet?
Brady and I met playing Oztag – we both joined the team through different friends and found each other that way.
Any funny stories about that meeting?
Brady and I somehow managed to end up at the same side of the field together – where I would try and make conversation or crack a joke to get a return blank stare. Originally I thought he thought I was an absolute nutter and he hated me – turns out he was too shy to talk to me – 3 months later after some intense Facebook stalking on his part – he found me and sent me a message, and it went from there…!
Where you got engaged?
Brady and I were engaged on the lookout at Bondi Beach on the Bronte walk – it was on the same day as the AFL grand final (which in Brady’s world – it does not get anymore romantic than that)
How long have you been together?
Brady and I have been together for 3 years. We knew this was it after 6 weeks and moved in together after about 6months.
Why did you choose Alison Cooke Photography to photograph your Bundaleer Gardens wedding?
We chose Alison Cooke photography based on the absolutely stunning pictures she produces, she is artfully skilled in capturing the moment and making you feel the emotion also. We wanted someone who would capture who we were and that suited out personalities – someone who was professional but still creative and fun! When you take a photo with the intention on hanging it on you wall for the rest of your life, you don’t just get anyone to take it – you go for the best and that is what we did.
(Eeeek, OMG! You guys are seriously the best. Thank you xoxoxo- Al)
What was the one thing you just had to have for your Bundaleer Gardens wedding day?
Haha…Open Bar? We are very humble people – but the one thing that was a must have was a stretch limo as the transport – Brady (at age 34) had never have the experience of going in one before – he was that nervous he completely blanked on the experience.
What things about your wedding made it so amazing?
Our family and friends made our wedding so amazing – we both have big families and love spending time with them, and our friends are family to us also. The people that were there to celebrate our day and bare witness to us made us feel that much more special and loved.
How did you go about planning your Bundaleer Gardens wedding & did you have any help?
If we were to say we had a theme it would definitively be “Braids + Megs” the whole wedding was based around what we liked and our passions. From the dress to the suit it had out stamp on it – from the Harry Potter wishing well and a football themed cake topper – It didn’t have to match and it didn’t matter if didn’t suit – it suited us and that we cared about. Essentially it was such an easy wedding to plan!
What tips or ideas would you pass onto future brides?
Enjoy and live in the moment – unfortunately you are unable to control every minute of the day and how the day will run – all your efforts and months planning will come together and your day will be amazing. So kick back, have a champagne with the girls and have fun!
What was something unique about your Bundaleer Gardens wedding?
Instead of the giant Jenga and lawn games – we opted for hula hoops and a unicycle!
Do you have any useful advice for future wedding guests?
Don’t play paparazzi! I am not opposed to people taking their own photos or putting them on Facebook – but be in the moment and take it all in! The happy couple have got someone taking the photos for you!
(I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this advice- Alison)
Did you honeymoon, where and for how long?
We did a few days on the Gold Coast for some R&R – but an official honeymoon is TBC
