Olivia and Bens Coolibah Downs wedding
Olivia and Ben chose Coolibah Downs for their wedding and as predicted, it was perfect. The weather was perfect and the entire day was relaxed and fun.
Here’s a little of their story.
How did you meet?
Benjamin and I met 2 and a half years ago at Benjamin’s Aunty’s wedding that I was also invited to by his cousin Mitchell, my best friend.
The proposal
We got engaged at our own home on a Sunday morning.
How long have you been together?
We’d been together for 2 and a half years when we married.
Why did you choose Alison Cooke Photography for your wedding?
We chose Alison to photograph our wedding because we felt that she had captured previous weddings the way we wanted our wedding to be photographed.
What was a must for your wedding day?
Our family and friends. They really did make our special day one we will never forget.
What made your wedding so amazing?
Having our closest friends and family all in one place together laughing, sharing the love and having many (happy) tears with each other.
How did you go about planning your wedding?
We really just did it step by step and getting help from family and friends that have recently gone through the process.
Any tips for future couples?
Just try and really enjoy the moment of planning a wedding. If things go wrong don’t stress out as there is always a way to fix it.
If a destination wedding, what would be your advice to other couples?
Well, if you are planning a destination wedding I would suggest to have the ceremony and reception at one place. Then guests don’t have to travel further and it makes for an easier flowing afternoon. Also give a reasonable amount of notice to guests so that they can plan as well.
What was something unique about your Coolibah Downs wedding?
Being a destination wedding, we were lucky enough that everyone took time away and were able to have the celebrations over a few days rather than just the wedding day.
Any useful advice for future wedding guests?
We were the luckiest couple as our guests were amazing! They really just enjoyed themselves and had the best time and that’s all we hoped for.
Did you honeymoon, where and for how long?
We honeymooned in Hawaii for a week.
