Choosing Currumbin Surf Club for your Wedding
With so many fabulous beach locations, how do you know if a Currumbin Surf Club wedding is the perfect venue for you? I’ve made the trip to Currumbin Beach many times for weddings. One thing is certain, it never disappoints. Angie and Ian chose to have their ceremony and reception at Currumbin Surf Club. If you’re contemplating a beach wedding, make sure you factor in the weather. At almost every single wedding I’ve photographed at the beach, we’ve had to deal with extreme wind which is obviously problematic for brides, hair and veils. Because Angie and Ian had their ceremony inside the surf club, we had the best of both worlds! They were protected from the elements yet still had the beach for the backdrop of their ceremony. Afterwards, it was just a short walk downstairs for family photos. And yes, it was windy for this wedding too so we took shelter around Elephant Rock, which also makes for a very funky backdrop.
