Mt Cootha Wedding Photographer
When Angela and Raul contacted me, they had planned everything except the photographer for their Mt Cootha Wedding. So I was super excited to meet them! And what I loved best about them was their laid-back approach to their wedding day. They were open to suggestions on how to get the best wedding photographs on the day so I knew we were a perfect match!
Because Angela and Raul were getting married quite late in the afternoon during Winter, I was worried they would run out of daylight. And I knew wedding photography was so important to them. So we had a chat and they decided to be somewhat ‘untraditional’ on the day. They decided to have their wedding and family photos before the ceremony. They were already getting ready together so it just made sense to flip things around a little!
And just around the corner from their house was one of my favourite locations for photos. Although the weather decided to change just as we arrived, I was prepared with umbrellas! After a short 5 minute wait, the rain disappeared and we had a fabulous time strolling around the nearby park, capturing some gorgeous wedding photographs.

And then it was time to head-off to their ceremony at the beautiful Mt Cootha Summit Restaurant. If you’ve never been there before you’re missing out! It’s located at the top of Mt Cootha, (just past the Mt Cootha Botanic gardens) and has the MOST spectacular views of Brisbane. Especially at night! I’ve photographed many weddings at the Summit Restaurant and I can assure you, they will not disappoint. And what a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding ceremony.
