Tessa and Sheldon – UQ Weddings
These guys were very specific about what they wanted for their wedding at UQ, St Lucia. They wanted a fun, casual day and to spend as much time as possible with all their family and friends. And they were super-keen for pizza, Pimms and games on the lawn.
Amazing Photo Locations at UQ Weddings
The UQ St Lucia campus is just seven kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD. Which means there are many options for accommodation for your wedding guests. And UQ is also home to cafes, restaurants, museums and those famoous jacaranda trees.
UQ is situated on a massive 114 hectares and is renown for its modern architecture, lush gardens, wildlife filled lakes and beautiful sandstone buildings. It is all these things that make it a very popular location for UQ weddings. There are so many locations on site for your wedding photos. So, there’s no need to hire a car or stress about tight schedules. Because everything you need for your wedding is on the grounds of UQ. It even has its very own nightclub! Which is where Tessa and Sheldon partied the night away.
The Reception Room
After some quick photos around the university it was off to the Red Room to dance and party the night away. Tessa and Sheldon had booked a very cool Melbourne band called the Theme Team. And yes, just as the name suggests, all they sing theme songs! So, there was lots of reminiscing as people danced up a storm to the tunes from “Baywatch”, “Full House”, “Fraggle Rock” and “The Greatest American Hero” to name a few!
