Odette and Jovi are just the sweetest couple. You only have to look at the two of them together to know you are in the presence of true love. But theirs’ is a love story that’s been 12 years in the making. Odette & Jovi have kindly shared some of their story with me…
“We were 13 when we met, playing basketball in the Under 14 Classics tournament in Melbourne.”
Funny stories about their meeting…
While traveling to Melbourne, Jovi’s mum had packed him some Oreos to snack on during the flight. When they arrived at Melbourne airport Jovi proceeded to pull them out of his bag. Odette, not having spoken to Jovi much before this, asked Jovi for some of his Oreos.
Odette says, “It was love at first Oreo”. 🙂
And finally, after a romance spanning 12 years, the wedding day arrived…
The beautiful ‘Our Lady of Victories Parish‘, Bowen Hills. It is so important to have a supportive wedding party to help you in the lead up to the day. Odette & Jovi describe their bridal party as “beyond incredible”…It was an unusual request but hey, I’m always up for a challenge. The “Dragon” shot 🙂
The couple partied the night away with their amazing guests at the Skyroom & Terrace in Brisbane. As Jovi is Tokelauan the wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without the incorporation of his culture and traditions. Odette says “the one thing that stood out above anything else were the cultural dances called “fateles” performed by his family”.
So congratulations Odette & Jovi! I wish you a life filled with love, laughter, happiness…& NO dragons!
