Are you planning your dream wedding?

Have you always imagined exchanging vows with your loved one in a beautiful garden wedding ceremony? Well then, this blog is for you! For 25 years I’ve photographed weddings throughout Brisbane, so I know some of the best garden wedding venues Brisbane has to offer.

Are you ready?

Let’s go!

Here are my absolute favourite garden wedding venues in Brisbane, in no particular order.

1.      Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens – Brookfield

Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens is one of my favourite locations. It’s located in Brookfield, approximately 13 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD.

Bundaleer Gardens is hugely popular as it offers a variety of backdrops for your wedding ceremony. There’s the waterfall deck with the gorgeous rainforest and creek as a backdrop, or the jacaranda tree.

The great thing about Bundaleer Gardens is simplicity. Everything is in the one location. You’ve got your dream garden ceremony, acres of lush gardens and rainforest which make the most spectacular wedding photographs, and they also cater for wedding receptions.

You literally have it all in the one convenient location.

Not to mention the staff are super helpful and friendly.

And if you’ve downsized your wedding because of COVID or you simply want a small and intimate ceremony, check out Bundaleer Garden’s elopement packages.

This venue does not disappoint.

2.      Rainforest Gardens – Mount Cotton

Another of my favourite locations for weddings. Rainforest gardens Mount Cotton is in Redlands, approximately 34 kilometres south-east of Brisbane CBD.

Mount Cotton is a rural area surrounded by rolling hills, bushlands, and spectacular views of Moreton Bay.

Rainforest Gardens offers beautiful garden settings for your wedding and the rustic reception venue has breathtaking views. Especially at night, after a crazy hailstorm.

And if you’re wanting a touch of luxury accommodation for your wedding guests, Rainforest Gardens offer a range of luxury chalets tucked away in a mystical hoop pine forest.

Okay, there’s no magical unicorns in the forest but the cabins are freaking awesome.

I’ve been there, I’ve seen them, and I can tell you, they ARE amazing.

Check them out here.

PS. It hailed twice and rained ALL day on this couple’s wedding day. And the photos are still awesome.

3.      Sirromet Winery

And just down the road from Rainforest Gardens is Sirromet Winery.

Well, what can I say? It’s a winery!

So, it’s already awesome (I love wine).

But it also offers fabulous locations to hold your wedding ceremony.

Sirromet offers the complete package from three gorgeous wedding ceremony locations to three spectacular reception locations.

And they even offer accommodation, which makes sense after tasting all their fabulous wines. Who wants to drive home?

You can check their accommodation out here.

Of course, you have a stunning location for wedding photography with the vineyards, open fields and rolling hills.

There is nothing NOT to love about Sirromet Winery for wedding venue.

4.      Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens – Mt Cootha

Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens are one of Brisbane’s most popular garden wedding venues.

The 56-hectare gardens are nestled at the foot of Brisbane’s tallest mountain, Mount Cooth-tha.

And the pristine gardens offer a variety of wedding ceremony locations from the Japanese Gardens to the largest collection of native rainforest trees in the world.

The botanic gardens are just a short 7-kilometre drive from Brisbane city.

And for those wanting wedding photos overlooking the city, it’s just a quick drive up the mountain to Mount Coot-tha lookout, a popular tourist spot with panoramic views of the city.

5.      Brisbane Botanic Gardens – Brisbane City

And next up is the Brisbane Botanic Gardens.

Set in the heart of Brisbane city, the Brisbane Botanic gardens are a popular garden wedding venue.

I mean, have you been there in September?

Because I can tell you; I’ve waited in line with other wedding photographers (they almost need delicatessen numbers) at the beautiful old fig trees.

Yes, that’s how popular these 17-hectare gardens are.

There are so many locations for weddings photos from the banks of the Brisbane River to their sub-tropical botanic gardens.

But you need to book your wedding location, so you don’t miss out.

It’s also a perfect location for wedding photos if your wedding or reception venue are nearby.
