A Fabulous Mt Coot tha Botanical Gardens wedding
One of my favourite things to do on a weekend is to photograph a Mt Coot tha Botanical Gardens wedding! Because it’s such a great location and just outside of the Brisbane CBD, which means it’s close enough to stay in the city or hit the town after your wedding! It also offers a variety of beautiful wedding ceremony locations. And best of all, there’s no shortage of beautiful spots for capturing stunning wedding photography.
A Real Life Wedding at Mt Coot tha Botanical Gardens
Nadia and Jordain booked me for their small and intimate wedding ceremony in late January. It was a beautiful and warm day and thankfully, the rain held off long enough for us to get some gorgeous wedding pics. Here’s a little of their story.
How long have you been together?
Nadia and I met as teenagers in 2007 during a gathering of mutual friends and family.
Why did you choose Alison Cooke Photography to photograph your wedding?
Having browsed through Alison’s wedding photos on her website Nadia and I were in awe! Because her photos were spectacular. And upon meeting Alison to discuss photographing our wedding day, she was very polite, professional and accommodating. She also ran us through all of the Do’s and Don’ts when it came to planning the wedding day. Things like make-up for the bride and the best time of day to have the wedding to avoid shadows and harsh lighting.
Nadia and I are amazed at the quality of the few sneak preview photos we have received. And we are eager to see the rest. So, we really couldn’t recommend Alison Cooke more highly to anyone looking for a photographer to shoot their special day.
Any advice for future couples?
As many others have already said, on the big day do your best to relax.
Did you honeymoon, where and for how long?
We are yet to have our honeymoon. We’ve just bought our first home, although we do have plans to eventually go to Japan during cherry blossom season.
