Looking for an un-boring, NO cheese, full of personality & FUN photographer? Hi there! You found me.

What to expect for your photography Brisbane wedding

I’ve been a Brisbane wedding photographer for over 20 years, and one of the questions couples always ask me is “What can we expect for our photography?” The short answer is…fun, casual, professional candid and AMAZING photography for your Brisbane wedding. No matter what kind of wedding or how big or small it is, your wedding photography will be a beautiful reflection of your wedding day.

Intimate weddings

And this is EXACTLY what Joan and Ben requested when they booked me for their small and intimate wedding. Joan and Ben didn’t want a huge wedding; what was important was that they were surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and family. Breaking with “tradition” we met at their hotel room at Royal on The Park for the finishing touches and because it was raining, we made the most of some really cool spots in the hotel before heading across to the Brisbane Botanical Gardens.

Rainy days – photography Brisbane wedding

Because a wedding photographer must be prepared for every scenario, I am always armed with a car boot full of umbrellas. And while some people may panic over a bit of rain, wet weddings are actually fun! As long as you’re prepared to get your feet wet, rainy days actually make for some really cool photographs. And Joan and Ben were super-relaxed about the rain on their wedding day! So we went for a casual stroll around the botanic gardens and made the most of the cool weather and the soft lighting.

After a quick shoot in the botanic gardens it was time to head to the ceremony. So we all jumped in my car, (yes, I also double as a chauffeur on your wedding day!) and headed over to 1889 Enoteca .

Enoteca is a lovely little Italian restaurant in Wooloongabba situated in a historic building. Which is also a great backdrop for photos! And not only is the building pretty cool, it has a divine function room downstairs perfect for small weddings.

And then it was time for the ‘I do’s!’ so we ventured down to the function room and snapped a few candid photos of Joan and Ben with their family and friends before the ceremony started. And because Joan and Ben had written their own vows, their ceremony was a personal story of how they first met and included lots of laughs!
