My Mum had only one piece of advice for my wedding -make sure you have good photos – hire a professional wedding photographer. Enter Alison – I knew Alison from my school days but it had been a very long time (20+ years!) between drinks.
My husband had one brief – “no poses”. He was quite nervous about the idea of having a wedding photographer (who would insist on ‘silly poses’ instead of just letting us enjoy the day). I don’t think I was much better. Nothing phased Alison though. We met before the wedding to discuss ‘who’s who’ and the ‘where’; and our wishes, and concerns, for the day.
Alison managed to capture all the special moments and our guests; despite the windy conditions, some slightly obnoxious guests (there’s always got to be at least one, right?), and even more obnoxious dog 🙂 As I said, nothing phased her. We felt perfectly relaxed and Alison captured many beautiful moments. Even our guests commented on how “easy to get along with” our photographer was, and they were all just as impressed with the final products, as we have been.
I am glad my mum told me to hire a professional photographer. I am so pleased we hired Alison Cooke – an extremely talented photographer, and friendly, down-to-earth person. (and extremely fantastic package prices!!)
