Looking for an un-boring, NO cheese, full of personality & FUN photographer? Hi there! You found me.

Virginia Golf Club Weddings – Rebecca and Ash

A few weeks back I photographed Rebecca and Ash’s wedding at Virginia Golf Club. It was a beautiful Winter’s day and everything went to plan, which was fantastic as Rebecca had spent the past two years planning their wedding at Virginia Golf Club.

I asked Rebecca and Ash to tell me a little about their story and here’s what they said:

How did you both meet?

We met on the back seat of the school bus.

The Engagement?

We were visiting Natural Bridge at Springbrook National Park.  While looking into the glow-worm cave and the waterfall, Ash got down on one knee and proposed. And afterwards he took me for a day at the zoo!

How long have you been together?

7 years, the day before the wedding.

Why did you choose Alison Cooke Photography to photograph your wedding?

We looked at so many different photographers and Alison was the only one that caught our eye. I wanted the kind of photos that Alison took. And after our first meeting I knew she would be perfect for our wedding. I could not fault her 🙂

What was the one thing you just had to have for your wedding day?

To make sure that we were surrounded by all of our most cherished family and friends.

What things about your wedding at Virginia Golf Club made it so amazing?

Our ceremony was just perfect and the love we felt was just indescribable. Our celebrant Ruth Voysey did a beautiful job of making sure it was the perfect ceremony for us.

The photos after the ceremony were just a dream and we loved that our photographer captured the happiest day of our lives. And the food was just perfect and the venue looked magical. Also, the staff at Virginia Golf Club were lovely.

Our first dance we shared as husband and wife and all the kind words from our loved ones were just amazing.

What at our wedding wasn’t amazing? NOTHING!

How did you go about planning your wedding and did you have any help?

Two years worth of slow planning and SO MANY LISTS! Many people helped with the wedding plans:

Maid Of Honour – Cassie Rabbitt, Bridesmaids – Taylah Wallace and  Katie Rabbitt, Mother of the bride – Christine West and best friend Stacy Swanton,  Best Man – Jake Bongers and Linda Gleeson, all had a hand in pulling it together.

What tips or ideas would you pass onto future couples?

Don’t stress the small stuff and just cherish your partner, your family and friends.

Do you have any useful advice for future wedding guests?

Keep it down during speeches.

Did you honeymoon, where and for how long?

We went on a 10 night cruise to Vanuatu and New Caledonia.
