Looking for an un-boring, NO cheese, full of personality & FUN photographer? Hi there! You found me.

Looking For A Wedding Photographer For Your Currumbin Wedding?

I’m often asked if I travel for weddings and the truth is, HELL YES! I LOVE going to new places and in my 22 years as a wedding photographer I’ve visited many fabulous locations and one of my favourite locations is the beautiful Currumbin beach, on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Currumbin Beach Weddings

Because what’s not to love? There’s the gorgeous beach, fabulous rocks, the lookout and you can chill-out at the surf club with a sneaky beverage and a spot of whale watching.

So if you’re getting married, please give me a call. I’m always happy to chat about ALL things wedding and I will help to make your day amazing. Head on over and check out my wedding packages here or you can view more pretty wedding pictures here.

Tips for a Beach Wedding

Now, if you’re having your wedding or photos at the beach, there are a few things to keep in mind when planning your day. The beach is notoriously windy. All the time. So prepare yourself. If you’re wearing your hair out, the chances are you WILL get wind-blown. So ask your hairdresser to bomb your hair with hairspray to try and keep it neat for longer.

Alternatively, think about an upstyle. There are so many gorgeous hairstyles in trend and upstyles are great when it comes to dealing with wild weather. For more advice on hair styles, head over to Brisbane Makeup Artistry, one of my favourite vendors.

Footwear

If you plan on wearing a pair of amazing high heels, please reconsider! Because it is damn near impossible to walk on the beach in high heels. Most of my brides choose pretty flats or sandals with bling. Or, they kick off their heels and walk barefoot on the sand. All these look fantastic in photos but it’s something to consider before spending money on a pair of shoes you might not wear again.

Be Prepared to Get Dirty

Yep, there’s a very good chance you’ll get dirty. Well, at least a little sandy. Because you know where the best spot for wedding photos are? On the wet sand by the water. Now, you don’t have to get soaking wet and dive in the ocean, but if you’re prepared to stand in the wet sand with your partner, the photos will be AMAZING! Because that’s when you get the gorgeous reflections off the wet sand. And remember, the photos will last forever! The wet feet and sandy toes are temporary 😉

Be Adventurous

And don’t be scared to get a little adventurous! Many beaches, like Currumbin, have gorgeous rocks that look amazing in photos. So be a little brave and climb up on those rocks! This is wear those flat shoes come in handy too 🙂 Of course be safe, but if you can manage to get up on a rock with your partner, you’ll get some kick-ass photos that will look amazing hanging on your wall. And that is always worth it!
