A Wedding at North Lakes Golf Course
A golf course wedding is one of my favourite kind of weddings. Why? Well, golf courses have a green keeper which means, the grounds are always beautifully maintained and green! And, a golf course is usually located on a large property surrounded by beautiful scenery and native wildlife.
Photo Opportunities For A Golf Course Wedding
And what this means from a wedding photographer’s point of view is, endless photo opportunities! Because there’s usually water at a golf course, there are opportunities for wedding photographs by the lake. And if you’re lucky, maybe even a bridge! There’s also an abundance of shady and secluded spots at a golf course to capture some romantic photos of you and your ‘other half’.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
The benefit of choosing a golf course for your wedding is, there’s always a bar or restaurant in the clubhouse. So, while you and your bridal party are off having photos, your wedding guests can relax by the bar, enjoy some canapes, take in the scenery and socialise until it’s time for the reception. And usually the venue will include a reception room too. This means you won’t need to spend money on car hire, worry about traffic and getting from the ceremony to the reception. With everything in the one location, you’ll be stress free and have plenty of time for more photos.
A Real Life Wedding
Take a look at the wedding of Alex and Warren below. We shared a fabulous day at North Lakes Golf Club where they held their wedding and reception. And with a chauffeur to drive us around to all the best locations, it was a totally stress free afternoon. And although it started to rain towards the end of the day, we had loads of fun!
